I spent today on an archeological dig with folks from the Glastonbury Historical Society and FOSA (Friends of the Office of State Archaeology). There's a site in a farm field in South Glastonbury where both English and Native American artifacts are being uncovered. Time period 1640!
It was a great experience - I learned a lot and met some great people. :-) All I personally uncovered were oyster shells, brick pieces and coal fragments but others found some really cool stuff!
