I added another garden plot in the backyard for next year

I added a layer of leaves - these will act as fertilizer

I then turn them over into the soil - they will decompose over the winter months.

Private Tour of WMHT

On Thursday August 11th, 2022 our family was given a private tour of the WMHT studios south of Troy, NY. We met all the staff and saw all the various studio rooms - it was amazing and the folks there were very cordial and informative.

This room was amazing - this is the main TV control room. All the "boxes" on the dual screens are camera angles

They even prepared lovely food/refreshments for us where we sat together with the executives and chatted about Dad, Mom and the impact WHMT had on our lives.

Needless to say it was a beautiful moment for us all and nice to know the contributions our parents have made to culture and education in the upstate area...

A quick return visit to the Soap Factory

Our son has moved back to the East Coast and is looking onto living here - so Cris and I checked it out. We couldn't get to the pond/pool area (residents only) but it was pretty neat nevertheless.

Dean invite me to see the Portland, CT fireworks from QuarryView - It was beautiful...

But we moved to the "wedding patio" for a better view of the show

Kind of blurry but Dean loves to chat about this history of the place and it is always fascinating...

Quarry View Drum Circle - May 3rd, 2020

It was opening night for the Quarry View Drum Circle. I showed up early and played:

• Doembek 
• Pandeiro
• Caxixi 
• Cowbell

 and of course a bit of Native American Double flute...

The fire dancers were awesome!
